"We had a fantastic experience working with Alex, both for maternity photos and for our first official family photos with our son. We used the maternity photos she took to announce that we were expecting on social media, and used the family photos for our holiday cards. For the maternity photos, she was really helpful at showing me how to pose to show off my bump. When taking the family photos, she was great at getting our eight month old son's attention and keeping him happy. She was also great with our dog for both sessions! "Working with Alex was amazing and she always went the extra step to make sure I was prepared and comfortable with the photoshoot. I didn't really know how to style myself and my husband and she sent me tons of suggestions and offered me some dresses she had on hand. This was my first non-wedding photoshoot and I really needed some direction. She gave great pointers on posing and looking natural in the photos which is exactly what I wanted. The session turned out to be pretty fun and that showed through in the pictures. I wanted these photos to document my pregnancy and ended up creating some Christmas cards to send out to family and friends.I was worried about the pictures being awkward. A lot of maternity shoots are kind of cringy, but I chose Alex because she had very natural looking pictures on her instagram and I felt confident we wouldn't end up with awkward photos. I voiced this concern early and felt like Alex understood and put my mind at ease."
